Approach
The approach used for the So-Me Music Lesson Plans are inspired by the great Hungarian composer and music educator, Zoltán Kodály. The Kodály approach uses singing as the basic means of teaching music to young children for the simple fact that the voice is a free instrument that most people already have!
The Kodály approach is rooted in the idea that music should be a social and cultural experience. The Kodály approach to teaching music asserts that musical concepts, creativity, and collaboration are best taught in group music lessons, particularly for young children.
